Bringing Back the Bed Jacket

You know, it seems like bed jackets used to be way more common than they are in this day and age.  Women in books, television show, and movies were always wearing bed jackets.  They lounged in them during days spent in the bed.  They wore them to look pretty and seductive for husbands, boyfriends, and lovers.  If they had to visit the hospital for any reason, they always had the proper bed jacket — or a collection of them.  I think they need to come back into fashoin — and apparently couture lingerie designer Grazia’lliani agrees with me, as you can see below:

Ahhh, what isn’t to love about this bed jacket?  It is simultaneously feminine, sexy, and unspeakably elegant.  It is perfection in and of itself.  This is Grazia’lliani’s Traforato Salerno Bed Jacket.

It is available in either black (nero) or ivory.  The designer’s entire sleepwear collection, this piece included, is meant to take classic, basic items and update them with a modern but still elegant style.  The fabrics used are unfailingly luxurious, specifically designed to be form fitting yet flowing.

This bed jacket is a knitted piece with a very dramatic, folding collar.  The front is tied by closures.  It is made up of 42 percent acrylic, 30 percent mohair, and 28 percent nylon.
