East Village Brings Eastern Decadence with a Silk Kimono

east village kimonoEast Village is known for bringing the beauty of the East and the Orient into its pieces, even using inspired textiles and embellishments. The pieces are all handmade and most, if not all, are made with one hundred percent silk. The embroidery is all handmade as well, from butterflies to birds to flowers.

One of the most beautiful pieces from East Village is the East Village Silk Kimono with Hand Embroidered Obi Belt, the glorious piece seen here.

The kimono is made of one hundred percent silk which has been died by hand. The tie is at the back, allowing the kimono to be worn by itself or along with the Obi belt, which has a lovely bird sitting on a cluster of cherry blossoms.

The best part is that the kimono can also be worn as an article of clothing; you can pair it with jeans, dress pants, a skirt, or whatever strikes your fancy.
